Older kids can do this project all by themselves. Waiting for Miss A’s Masterpiece to dry(too much glue to dry □) so we could hang it in the wall- Simply love it! □ However she got a little upset because, I didn’t let her handle the glue. Thanks to washable glue – the clean up was easy□ Miss D(23 months) got excited looking at what her sister was doing and she joined her in sticking few pastas. But used her hands to take some and apply it on different areas. So i drew the tree outline and showed her how to apply glue and stick the pasta. She loved the idea and wanted to do one by herself. I explained to her about fall and that it represents fall tree. When she was back she saw the new poster on the wall and asked me what it was. Miss A(3yrs) was not home when i did this. Also some coffee & soup along with a pasta dish □ Miss D liked to touch and feel different pasta shapes and she also did some shape & color sorting with the muffin pan & tongs – picked just the rigatoni from the bin and sorted them by colors □, after which she joined her sis in the play kitchen. Miss A also made yummy cupcakes by filling the muffin pans with pasta and baking them. They wanted to use the eggs to make mommys french toast. ![]() But they were not really interested in it. I must say they all tasted soo good! □ I was expecting them to do some color sorting using the easter eggs – fill up the eggs with matching color pasta. They took out their play dishes and started cooking yummy meals for mommy. They love their play kitchen and enjoy cooking pretend food. Miss A (3yrs) & Miss D (2yrs) had a good time playing with it. Use a sheet to catch spills for easy clean up. Add in all the extras and let your kids explore.You could use just one variety of pasta, uncoloured ones straight from the box to keep it more simple.I also added some plain pasta because there wasn’t enough colored ones left over to fill our bin. Fill 1/3 of the bin with colored pasta.Colored Pasta (different colors & shapes).Dry Pasta Sensory Bin is one such & is great for imaginative play, color & shape recognition while developing fine motor skills. We love sensory bins because they are like magic! Even the simplest filler would keep my LOs occupied for a long time. ![]()
